Soft and absorbent5
I purchased 3 packages of these bibs. Amazon had the best price of anywhere I checked. They washed and dried nicely with no visible shrinkage except for just a very minimal amount in the cotton binding that runs around the outside perimeter of one of the bibs. The binding on the other two bibs has more of a satiny finish to it.

They could be just a little bit thicker, but they're nice and soft and not too big, but seem to be big enough to handle most meals and lots of drolling for an infant say up to one year (I'm guessing). They would be too small for, say, a two-year old toddler. They have a velcro closure and could be reversed if you want to cut the tag off the other side.

My pet peeve with many of the bibs on the market is that they have cute embroidered sayings and/or characters on the front of them which while cutesy, take up most of the surface of the bib and don't provide any absorbency - which seems to me to be the whole purpose of using a bib in the first place.

So for everyday use, these work great.

Update on 3/25/08: The bibs are holding their own as far as functionality even with an 11 month old baby; however, the binding around the edge has come off one of the bibs at the neck area and created a hole. I was able to mend it with the sewing machine, and the bib is still functional but looks tacky.

Stands up to frequent use5
My baby daughter is what is quaintly termed a "happy spitter". This means she spits up 20-30 times a day. I have 21 of these bibs and they go through the wash at least once a day (sometimes twice, if it has been a bad day). I have many bibs, but these are the only ones that have stood up to months of daily washing. Highly recommended if you have a spitter.

Very absorbant bib for super-spitters5
I purchased these for my two month old who is a super spitter due to reflux issues. I purchased the natural style ones. They are holding up well after many washes. I advise closing the velcro closures or the velcro WILL snag the terry-cloth on the bibs causing them to fray more than just the normal wear and tear. These make great day time bibs, however we use Carter's waterproof dribble bibs for naps and bedtime when we sometimes have unexpected reflux episodes that soak through clothing.
