Nice toy chest, smaller than expected.
This toy chest is nice and was easy to put together. My only disappointment was that it was much smaller than I expected. When comparing the price to other products, it looked just like them and I didn't pay attention to the dimensions. I know that was my fault, but for the price of this toy chest, you can definitely get a bigger one for very close to the same price. I checked after it arrived, and considered returning it but the cost of shipping it back deterred me.
Terrible product, would not recommend purchase
This is a terrible product and I would not recommend that anyone purchase it. Like another reviewer said, the lid of the toy chest ripped off from the base, for me upon installation. The reason for this is twofold:
1. The "wood" used on the 4 side walls of the chest is not wood at all but rather rather poorly constructed (i.e., weak) cork board.
2. (I believe this is the real cause of the problem) The hinge used to attached the back wall of the chest to the lid requires about 50 lbs of pressure to move from the open to closed position (50 lbs is an estimate, but I am 6' 4" and weigh over 200 lbs, and manipulating the hinge from the open to closed position before attaching it to the chest required enough strength to almost break the skin on my well-calloused hands).
unhappy with purchase
Bought this for my grandaughter and had it delivered to her home. Product is VERY small for the price paid. The lid broke when attaching it to the chest, and son-in-law said screws stripped when putting them in. Looked nice, but poor quality all around.
