An amazing bonding experience
I was excited when I saw the washPOD in a magazine ad, there wasn't a place to purchase it locally so I did so online. The first time we bathed our daughter in the washPOD, it was amazing- she was only a week old, there as no screaming as we had experienced with our oldest. Quite the opposite, her eyes lite up and she look around amazed and happy. It was a bit awkward at first, but as she grew and I got more accustomed it proved to be a wonderful bonding experience. There were many nights when she would become fussy, that I just put her in the washPOD and it soothed her so that she could fall asleep more easily. I'm only sorry that at 7 months it seems she has outgrown it. Try it, be patient, you won't be disappointed.
happy baby, happy mom
Yes, it's a $30 bucket. But it's a NICE bucket, with a squishy little seat for baby's bottom and slanted sides so the baby can see out. Handy little handles make it easy to lift it from the tub to the counter, and I like that it doesn't need a lot of water.
My sister in law sent this to us, and when I opened the box I laughed and thought "what is this?" Then baby arrived and we tried it out. Now we're converts! My 3-mo old loves it. If she's having a rough evening, cranky and crabby and out of sorts, we just give her a bath. She settles in and splashes and likes looking at herself in the mirror. She seems to be very secure, warm and cozy in it, which is great. I have to lift her up to wash her bottom and legs, but that's OK. My son hated baths at this age, and I'm glad she's not stressed by the whole bathing process. I don't know what we'll do when she doesn't fit into it anymore.
